2009 moments...
RIDE THE SOUND:
Gasoline Horse (2009) is an original recording presented with a new video, recorded in one continuous take, without edits or splicing: just a raw, one-go performance.
Except for the new intro (the sound of a superbike engine), there are no sound effects, no AI-generated elements, only post-production. It’s just me, a super simple Kashima MG-010 acoustic guitar adapted for steel strings, Ernie Ball Earthwood 010 strings, Open G tuning, 0.88mm picks, and no amplifier.
I’ve got to brag a little. Ever heard an acoustic guitar sound this heavy? Yeah, I didn’t think so. If you know something that hits harder than this, drop me a link and enlighten me. Seriously. I’ll wait.
I’m not trying to challenge anyone, this isn’t meant to be competitive at all and it’s just for fun and to discover new musicians and new sounds.
But fair warning: if you do find something heavier, louder, and more visceral coming out of a wooden box with six strings… I might have to buy you a beer. Until then, I’m pretty confident this thing is about as subtle as a V8 engine in a library.
