2025-26 Dates and Reminders

1. Open to 7th & 8th Grade Band Students.

2. Open to 7th and 8th Grade Band Students.

3. Students are nominated by their band director.

4. Nominations are due by October 10, 2025.  Band membership will be announced by November 5th. (See form below)

5. $8 per student. Make Checks or Purchase Orders payable to CDMMEA.

6. Saturday, January 10, 2026 8:00am @ Rolla High School (Inclement weather make-up date is Saturday, January 17, 2026)

Audition Requirements

Wind Instruments: 7th Grade

    Concert Bb Major Scale 

7th Grade Etude (See link below)

8th Grade

Chromatic Scale (full range)

8th Grade Etude (See link below)

Percussion: Judge may ask the following Rudiments:

Double Stroke Roll (slow-fast-slow)

Paradiddle (slow-fast-slow)

Bb Major Scale (2 Octaves)-7th Grade

Chromatic (2 Octaves)-8th Grade

Tune Bb and Eb on Timpani (tune a 4th)

All must play Snare excerpt from music and xylo etude.
