Jeanne Holm, Chief Data Officer at the City of Los Angeles. She works at the cross-section of civic innovation, open data, and education. She is the Deputy CIO and Mayor's Senior Tech Advisor at the City of Los Angeles, working on issues ranging from homelessness to digital equity technology innovation, data and analytics, and public-private partnerships. As a senior consultant with the World Bank, she worked with governments throughout the world to build robust open data ecosystems and ensure transparency. She was the Evangelist for open data for the U.S. White House, leading collaboration and building communities on Data.gov with the public, educators, developers, and international and state governments in using open government data. Specialties: Building advanced data and knowledge architectures, using data science to break through intractable social problems, creating robust open data ecosystems, system design and integration, knowledge management practices and systems, instructional design and delivery, and inter-organizational collaboration. Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) Architecture and Environmental Design Program

LATTC is a public community college, one of nine in the L.A. Community College District, which is the largest community college district in the nation. Seventy-five percent of LATTC’s courses are in Career Technical Education (CTE) and the largest of the nine pathways is the School of Construction, Maintenance and Utilities (CMU). Professor Marcela Oliva is leading the development and accreditation of the CDLA curriculum at LATTC. Marcela Oliva is a Professor of Architecture and Environmental Design at LATTC and founder of UCLA Extension Courses: Transforming Community and Design for Social Justice. Professor Oliva was the Professional Expert for the nine Community College Sustainability Building Program for 10 years and implemented the largest Virtualization BIM/GIS System in the nation following National Intelligence Standards. She recently joined as a Board Member USGC LA Chapter.

Career Excellence Academy (CEA)

CEA was established in 2015 and is led by LaShondra Mercurius and Karolina Olamendi. CEA provides professional development training seminars designed to address employer needs for placing quality personnel in the construction industry. The business model is unique in that it is grounded in industry specific career development, employee-employer relations, and experiential learning. CEA also provides subject matter experts from large AEC firms in the classroom which enhances the learning environment and industry exposure for participants who have never been in the field. The soft skills curriculum includes emotional intelligence, communication skills, critical thinking skills, team building skills, and many more. CEA also takes students on field trips to construction sites.

Workforce Connections, Inc. (WFC)

Mareta Zuniga is the President and CEO of Workforce Connections, Inc. WFC is a workforce intermediary that supports public and private systems to upgrade the skills of local workers to meet employer needs. WFC partners with employers, community colleges, and local WIBs to develop innovative training programs that are customized to specific employers and industry sectors, such as construction, architecture, engineering, automotive, transportation, logistics, and manufacturing. Its training programs provide rapid skill development to meet local employer and regional needs while creating pathways to long-term economic self-sufficiency for participants.
