Registration Open: Communication for Fundraising – Inaugural Online Cohort
The Centre for Development Communication (CDC) is pleased to announce the opening of registration for the Inaugural Online Cohort of its specialised Communication for Fundraising training.
Following the strong interest expressed by development practitioners, communication professionals, researchers, consultants, and organisations from Nigeria and abroad, CDC is launching this intensive training to strengthen participants' capacity to use strategic communication for effective fundraising and sustainable resource mobilisation.

Mode: Live Online
Duration: Six-hour intensive training
Certificate: Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all participants who complete the training.

The Centre for Development Communication is pleased to share that Dr. Audu Liberty Oseni was invited by the Earth Rights Institute (USA) to deliver a 90-minute international webinar on one of the most urgent development challenges of our time:

“African Farmers: Excluded from Climate Change Discourse?”
The webinar, which held on Saturday, November 29, brought together global participants for an engaging and critical conversation on the persistent exclusion of rural African farmers from climate change dialogues. Although these farmers are among the world’s most vulnerable to climate impacts, climate governance structures continue to be dominated by policymakers, donors, and global actors—often leaving behind the very communities most affected.
During the session, Dr. Oseni examined:
Why rural farmers remain marginal in climate discourse
How top-down communication models reinforce exclusion
The need for inclusive, participatory, people-centered climate governance
Practical pathways for elevating rural voices in African climate policy spaces
The event attracted practitioners, researchers, and advocates committed to strengthening climate justice and promoting indigenous and community-driven approaches to climate adaptation.
