Welcome to the UVNSS!
In the Summer of 2020, Jaymelyn Hubert created this mentorship program to help the future generation of nurses. After assembling a strong committee team, we were able to quickly put this program into motion and support our wonderful first years!
The NSMP committee is a collective of Camosun College's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year BSN students. Our goal is to create and continue this program to support our peers and develop fundamental skills. By supporting each other we support ourselves, because team work makes the dream work!
My Role: Provide support to all members of the NSMP; organize committee meetings; host information meetings; connect with necessary Camosun staff; ensure happy delivery of the program.
About Me: I am a third-year student in the BSN program at Camosun. I'm originally from the Okanagan but moved to Victoria 7 years ago where I completed a bachelor's degree in psychology at UVic before starting my journey in nursing. I decided to pursue this path because of my passion for medicine and drive to make a difference in my community. When I graduate, I'm interested in specializing in neonatal critical care (NICU). Outside of school, I do anything that involves music!
