ABM
(Accountancy, Business and Management)
The ABM strand prepares students for careers in the business world by combining creativity, math skills, and business sense. It covers financial management, business management, operations, and accounting. Students gain industry knowledge and skills for roles such as managers, accountants, and business owners. ABM focuses on functional areas like marketing, finance, accounting, IT, and entrepreneurship, while nurturing practical skills, crisis management, and problem-solving abilities.
CSS
(Computer Systems Servicing)
Computer System Servicing (CSS) is a vocational program that teaches students to install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks. It covers diagnosing and troubleshooting computer systems, computer operations, and proficiency in computer applications. CSS includes topics such as Windows installation, software and hardware support, basic programming, and budget projection creation. The program prepares students to become competent Computer Service Technicians following industry standards.
SMAW
(Shielded Metal Arc Welding )
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is a fusion welding process that uses a flux-coated electrode to create an electrical arc between the electrode and the work piece. Molten metal from the electrode is deposited into the work piece, while the flux coating forms slag on the weld pool surface. SMAW is one of the oldest and simplest welding processes, known for its affordability and ability to produce quality welds. It requires minimal equipment, including a power source, electrode, holder, ground clamp, and work piece.
Academic Strands
An academic strand is a specific area of study within a high school curriculum. It focuses on providing students with specialized knowledge and skills in a particular academic field. Academic strands are designed to prepare students for future college degrees or careers in their chosen field. These strands often include a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical application, research, and critical thinking skills. By selecting an academic strand, students can delve deeper into a specific subject area and develop a strong foundation for their future academic and professional pursuits.
The Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) strand focuses on providing students with practical skills and knowledge for various vocational careers. It offers hands-on training in specific fields such as automotive technology, culinary arts, electronics, agriculture, tourism, and more. TVL prepares students for immediate employment after graduation or for further specialized training. It emphasizes industry-relevant skills and practical experiences to equip students for successful careers in their chosen vocational fields.
HUMSS
(Humanities and Social Sciences)
This strand explores human behavior, societal changes, arts, culture, literature, and politics. It includes subjects like political science, anthropology, linguistics, psychology, and communication. It prepares students for college degrees in liberal arts and education.
GAS
(General Academic Strand)
General Academic Strand caters students who are not yet sure of what course or degree they want to take in college. This strand was designed so that indecisive learners can proceed with any college program. Though, learners under this strand will take/may not take bridging programs (depending on the school) for the subjects not taken during Senior High.
( Electrical Installation and Maintenance )
Electrical Installation and Maintenance is a Technical-Vocational track that specializes in analyzing electrical signs, symbols, and data, interpreting technical drawings and plans, and maintaining electric hydraulic tools. It includes installation of electric metallic tubing, wireways, cable trays, and telephone terminal cabinets. The program also covers selection of wiring devices based on Philippine Electrical Code standards. Its mission is to provide technical training to meet industry demands and individual career objectives. The program offers an open-exit option for program exploration and skill development.
(Baking and Pastry Production )
Bread and Pastry Production NC II is a technical-vocational program focused on developing students' skills in preparing bakery and pastry products, cakes, and desserts. The program trains students in modern baking techniques, the use of baking equipment, tools, and utensils, as well as other baking appliances. Students also learn about presentation methods, sanitation, and safety practices.
