Cabadbaran City National High School has a rich history that dates back to June 24, 1998. Through Municipal Resolution No. 989-212 and the support of Congressman Roan L. Libarios, the establishment of a national high school in Cabadbaran was initiated. Initially known as Cabadbaran National High School, the school site was generously donated by CASOCES, and classes began in the year 2000 as CASOCES-Integrated Secondary School (ISS).
In 2010, under Republic Act No. 10003, the school was renamed Cabadbaran City National High School. The continuous growth of the student population led to the construction of additional school buildings, thanks to the unwavering support of local government officials and the General PTA.
During the 2012-2013 school year, the student population reached 1300, served by 24 teachers. Efforts were made to accommodate the increasing number of students, resulting in the addition of nine teachers and the construction of nine new classrooms by the end of the first semester. The growing enrollment necessitated the approval of two shifting sessions by the Regional Director due to the insufficient number of classrooms.
By the school year 2016-2017, Cabadbaran City National High School reached a new milestone with nearly 2000 students and a dedicated team of 82 teaching and non-teaching personnel. This year also marked the introduction of Senior High School, catering to the first batch of Grade 11 students. The school received support from various agencies, including PAGCOR and DepEd-DPWH, who contributed classrooms to accommodate the growing student body.
