SOCIAL SCIENCES AND THE

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Challenges and perspectives.

The social sciences play an important role in the human and economic development of any society through the popularization of knowledge about the behavior of individuals and groups. They question the problems of the relationship of the individual to his environment, such as climate change, global warming and pollution. Finally, they determine its role in the preservation of its immediate environment; by setting up theoretical and practical solutions that strengthen the interaction between different development policies and various sciences. This is to serve progress and stability in the overall and sustainable development of societies by giving society a balance and security in terms of reasonable exploitation of human and natural resources, A capital base that is based on the essential environmental balance to improve the standard of living and future aspirations according to the rules governing the organization and ingenious use based on rational exploitation of natural and environmental resources and their development, this on one hand.

On the other hand, the concept of sustainable development is a polysemic concept that stretches across different dimensions and perspectives, namely the social, environmental and economic dimensions, as a conceptual framework characterized by a dynamic, as well as a continuous interactivity from one generation to another. Finally, a concept that is committed to achieving a fit and harmonization between the three main components: Society, Human Resources and economic development.

States aware of the urgent need for global and sustainable development for the benefit of future generations, through the fight against global threats to the entire world population, such as environmental pollution , scarcity of natural resources, food insecurity and famine. Poverty and lack of health services and lack of educational opportunities, especially in developing countries, putting people at the center of these strategies.

It is up to the academic institution as an incubator of all theoretical and scientific approaches to involve itself through studies and research to find appropriate solutions, but also by the dissemination and popularization of individual or public actions that take place. are engaged in this way.
