Wilmer Barrera - Head Coach
Coach Barrera has been coaching for more than 10 years at the competitive soccer club, as well as the high school level in Colorado and Michigan. His coaching credentials include a USSF B National Soccer License, NSCAA Premier License, and a Brazilian Coaching Certification. He joined Cherry Creek High School in 2018 as a Spanish Teacher and is the Head Coach for the Varsity Boys' Soccer team leading them to a State Championship in 2024.
In his 4 years at Cherry Creek High School as a teacher and coach, he has felt great pride and honor to coach and teach his love for Spanish heritage and passion for soccer. Wilmer is married, and a proud father of 3 daughters - Akyra, Livia, Josie, and a dog named Mateo Marco. For Wilmer, Soccer is not just a sport, it is an education for life.
Darcy Miccio Pace - Assistant Coach
Darcy Miccio Pace has dedicated 29 years to pediatric nursing, providing compassionate care and advancing child health across a range of clinical settings. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health and Sports Medicine and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Building on her background in health, wellness, and leadership, Darcy began a new chapter in 2024 as Assistant Varsity Coach for the Girls Soccer Team under Head Coach Wilmer Barrera. She brings the same dedication, patience, and focus on resilience that have defined her nursing career to her work on the field, helping athletes grow not only as players but also as individuals.
Darcy and her husband, Brad, have two sons, Anthony and Lucas. Soccer has long been part of their family life, with Lucas still competing at the collegiate level.
