The below program of events is displayed in day and time order. The coloured boxes to the right provide guidance on who each activity might be best suited to however observers are welcome as noted on specific classes. Some activities may only be observed by the parents, guardians or family members of those students participating.
There are a number of types of activity on offer as follows:
- Class - a regular guided group activity. All classes are open for observers and some will also be able to accommodate participation from anyone wishing to get involved.
- Concert - During the week a number of concerts will be presented showcasing the achievements of students during the preceding term culminating in the Premier Ensembles Concert which is a ticketed event on Friday evening 5 July.
- Presentation - An informative session involving both talking and practical demonstration. Observers are welcome and all audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and get involved.
- Workshop / Masterclass - a guided group or individual activity specifically designed for Music Week which will achieve set outcomes for each session.
- Rehearsal - a regular ensemble/group rehearsal. Students of a suitable age and level may observe to understand the experience of rehearsing with each group.

They will translate the phrases they hear, both onto their instrument and down onto paper, which will lead into discussions about rhythmic structure and notation, the language of the jazz idiom, memorisation versus notation, and how to understand the logic of the performer and apply it in the participant's own creativity.
