Local Info

Conference venue

The conference will be held at the Lyceum in the Husky Union Building (the HUB) on the University of Washington Seattle campus.

Getting to UW, Parking, Internet Access

If you are flying to Seattle, the SoundTransit 1 line connects SeaTac airport to the University District. The trip takes around 50 minutes and costs about $3.25.

Information about getting to the campus and finding your way once you are there can be found here. For parking near campus visit this site.

The easiest option for internet access is to use eduroam; see instructions. You can also use UW wifi network.

Checking in for Dorm rooms

Check in for the dorms will be at the front desk in Willow Hall.

Safety

Although Seattle is generally safe, please pay attention to your surroundings in the University District (mostly west and north of UW) at night. It is best to travel in groups or call a ride at night. The U-district is the closest light rail stop to many of the hotels, but when traveling to/from the UW campus we suggest using the University of Washington Stadium station. We recommend that you take a taxi/Uber/Lyft from the airport or the UW Stadium station if you are staying in the U-district and arriving at night.

Banquet

The conference banquet will take place on Wednesday (6:00-9:00) at Ba Bar - University Village.

Dining

Here are some options within walking distance of the conference venue (Lyceum in the Husky Union Building (HUB)):
