Our CCA Department meticulously plans and executes programs such as SUKMA (Sports day) and Workout With Friends (WWF) to impart knowledge and promote healthy lifestyle habits. Our goal is to instill the school's core values of sincerity (Ikhlas), excellence (Itqan), and compassion (Ihsan) in every student.

Food on Wheels
Our Ihsan Club is collaborating with Pertapis for their upcoming annual Food on Wheels Programme.
What is Food on Wheels?
This programme aims to alleviate the challenges of food insecurity faced by the marginalised families, children, single parents and seniors during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Ihsan Club Collaboration
Together with other madrasahs, Ihsan Club is representing Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah to join in this effort. They launched their "Food on Wheels Collection Drive" on the 10th February, and will end on the 14th February 2025.
Their aim is to collect 700 canned foods from generous donations of students, staff and parents. As of 13th February, they have collected as much as 710 cans; which is more than expected!
Let us hope that the event will flow smoothly and we would like to thank all contributors for their kindness! May your generosity this Ramadan brings blessings, rewards, and hope to those in need.
CCA Registration 2025
Welcome to CCA Registration 2025. CCA Registration will be open from Monday, 6 January 2025 at 5pm. We will close registration on Thursday, 9 January 2025 at 11.59pm. Please follow the instructions below for your registration.
You are eligible to participate in 1 CCA only each year. All CCA allocations are subject to availability.
For Secondary 1 students and students without CCA, kindly select 2 choices in your registration form.
Singapore Secondary Schools Debating Championships (SSSDC)
On 14th February, our debaters will compete in the annual Singapore Secondary Schools Debating Championships (SSSDC), organized by the Julia Gabriel Centre. The tournament, which runs from February to April, involves 70 schools, including secondary, integrated programme, and international schools across Singapore.
Effective communication is key to literacy, thinking, and learning. Persuasive speaking helps students think quickly, improve their listening and speaking skills, and enhance their language competence.
This year, Madrasah Aljunied will compete against Swiss Cottage Secondary School via Zoom. If they clear this round, they will advance to the quarter-finals, where they will compete face-to-face. In recent years, Aljunied's debating team has advanced to the quarter-finals and won best speaker awards.
The five debaters selected for this year's competition are Sidni Pragita Kusnoningsih, Faaliha Fazular Rahman, Alveena Nasha, Mahjuba Rahman, and Shaikh Ismail Al Fatah. Let’s give them our support and wish them success, InsyaAllah.
Upcoming event - ItsRainingRaincoats
Some of our students from Ihsan Club will be participating in the Youth Social Challenge. This will help them improve their skills and knowledge in a particular area by pushing them to solve complex problems or tasks. Apart from that, the students attended training workshops prior to the competition in order to ensure quality in their work and research.

Champion and consolation prize
We would like to congratulate on our students' impressive victory in this competition. Marha marha! Their eloquence, critical thinking, and persuasive arguments have distinguished themselves as exceptional debaters.
This competition was organized by Madrasah Aljunied and there were a total of 15 teams, of which 2 teams were from Indonesia, 3 teams from Malaysia, and the remaining teams from Singapore. Team A clinched the first place whereas Team B reached the semi-finals of the competition.

This achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork. We appreciate their efforts and commitment throughout their intensive training sessions and competition.
Bahas 4PM (Secondary Level)
Alhamdulillah, our team from Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah emerged as the first runner-up in this prestigious national malay debate competition. They presented their strong points against St. Joseph Institution and the match was heated with multiple points of information and rebuttal.

Our debaters from the English Language Literary and Debating Society (ELLDS) competed in the Singapore Secondary Schools Debate Championships (SSSDC) online last Friday; 23 February 2024.
The debate motion was:
"This House would impose a special tax on movie & TV companies, and use the revenue to subsidise theatres, operas & art exhibitions".

The team have done their best for the match, unfortunately, they did not qualify for the next round. Nevertheless, it is the experience that matters most for the participants and we hope to see more students embark on this journey.
Khat Catalogue by Khat Club

Introducing our inaugural Khat catalogue, meticulously crafted by the dedicated students of the Khat CCA. This catalogue seamlessly brings together the culmination of their artistic endeavours throughout the year.
The artwork featured comprises contributions from all Khat members, ranging from beginners to those with several years of experience in the CCA. This year, we express our gratitude for their diligent Khat artistry by presenting a digital showcase of their work for the first time.

SUKMA 2023
After 3 years of absence, SUKMA is finally back! Students, staff and parents of MAA gathered at Yio Chu Kang Stadium on 18 July 2023. The event was officiated by our Principal, Mr Herman Cher Ma'in, and ended with victory for Green House, followed by Blue House, Red House and Yellow House. Marha marha to all teams!

Our very own ARCHERs were in action for both PESTA SUKAN and National Inter-School Archery Competition (NISAC).
We swept through the medal standings for the latter competition.

IHSAN COMMUNITY SERVICE WITH MKAC
On Saturday, 1 April 2023, our students helped the Muslim Kidney Action Association (MKAC) in distributing 140 bags of essentials to the ones in need. The activity was carried out for half a day. May Allah bless their good deeds and reward them with the best in this world and in the hereafter.
The Workout With Friends (WWF)
This co-curricular activity, spearheaded by the asatizahs of Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah, aims to foster a sense of camaraderie among students to forge trust, develop teamwork and hone their leadership skills.
The students engage in a variety of activities from dodgeball, to mass calisthenics workouts and from chapteh to hula-hoop among many other interests that are not always formally organised.
IHSAN DAY 2023 & DISTRIBUTION DAY AT JALAN KUKOH
Food on Wheels
This initiative organised by Pertapis was in collaboration with various madrasahs in Singapore. Each madrasah collects different food items and Aljunied collected food tins such as sardines, canned fruits among many others. We managed to collect a total of 412 tins and later come together to pack them on 2nd March before distributing it to the beneficiaries under Pertapis across Singapore.
Soccer & Futsal
Our energetic soccer boys representing Madrasah Aljunied will compete with other madrasah teams this Saturday, at the Futsal Arena 1 at 32 Yishun Central, as part of a charity futsal tournament fundraiser, organised annually by the Muhammadiyah Welfare Home. Madrasah Aljunied will be sending two teams to compete in a the C division; and one for B division.
CHARITY FUTSAL TOURNAMENT BY MUHAMMADIYAH WELFARE HOME
Last Saturday, 2nd March, our soccer boys put up a good fight in a friendly tournament organised by the Muhammadiyah Welfare Home at their annual charity event held at the Futsal Arena in Yishun.
Our boys competed against a total of 10 teams for each category. Here's how our team at Aljunied Madarasah came up in their final standings:
Under 14 Category:
MAA Team A won overall 3rd place
MAA Team B qualified for Group Stages, or prequalifying rounds for quarter finals.
Under 16 Category:
MAA Team C won overall 3rd runner-up.
The coaches and teachers in-charge would like to thank everyone for their prayers, well wishes and support thus far.
MUHAMMADIYAH CHARITY FUTSAL
Our Junior Soccer boys ended the term with a Futsal competition co-organised by (amongst others) Muhammadiyah Welfare Home and Football Association of Singapore (FAS).
Even though our Junior Boys competed in the Under-16 category, they were undaunted and was able to give a very good fight till the end! Kudos Boys!
LEARNING JOURNEY
It's FRIDAY! And we WERE out! Various CCAs travelled to different parts of Singapore to explore and to learn more on things related to their respective CCAs! The soccer and boys get to have a feel of life as a soccer players and the Robotics Club have a glimpse of the future of Robots in SG!!
