T-Mobile Refresh Community Spaces in Small Towns Grant - Grants of up to $50,000 are provided for shovel-ready projects to build, rebuild, or refresh community spaces that help foster local connections in small towns. Examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to, adaptive uses of older and historic buildings into community gathering spaces, improvements to outdoor parks or trails, and technology projects for public libraries. I am excited to share that Mental Health First Aid USA just launched a Doctoral Student Grants Program! The grants will provide 4 doctoral students with a one-time award of $5,000 to conduct research on the impact of MHFA programs in the US.
Here are some important dates:
May 21, 2021: The application will launch on May 21, 2021 and will remain open until June 18, 2021.
June 21-25, 2021: Applications will be reviewed by our selection committee.
June 28-July 2, 2021: Final applicants will be invited for an interview.
July 9, 2021: Awardees will be announced.

The APF Visionary Grants seek to seed innovation through supporting research, education and intervention projects and programs that use psychology to solve social problems in the following priority areas:
-Applying psychology to at-risk, vulnerable populations (e.g. serious mental illness, returning military, those who are incarcerated or economically disadvantaged)
-Preventing violence
-Understanding the connection between behavior and health (e.g. wellness, diabetes, obesity)
-Understanding and eliminating stigma and prejudice (e.g. race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, and socioeconomic status)
Eligibility: Applicants must be a graduate student or early career researcher no more than 10 years postdoctoral.
