This page details the ways in which participants interacted with Milkfed Criminal Masterminds (directly and indirectly).
When considering the specific titles produced by MCM at the time of data collection, the most popular title was Bitch Planet (main series, not the "Triple-Feature" books). Sex Criminals and Pretty Deadly each had strong followings within the population, with ODY-C and Cassanova having smaller communities of readers.
Please note that this figure represents the 2016 catalog of works produced by MCM, and thus, works produced primarily through Image Comics. Different patterns may emerge when considering the full breadth of MCM's publishing post-data collection.
When considering the ways in which participants interacted with MCM online, a clear pattern emerges: the personal social media feeds of DeConnick and Fraction were the favored avenue for respondents to receive news about MCM's upcoming works. This suggests that while respondents may know about MCM, they are perhaps more inclined to have interest in a particular creator's works (rather than interest in everything produced by MCM).
While significantly fewer participants indicated that they interacted with the various social channels associated with MCM, rates of engagement for these were fairly consistent; avenues more directly linked to either DeConnick or Fraction seemed to hold higher rates of engagement with participants (compared to those run by interns).
A little over a third of respondents indicated that they had interacted with MCM in person; most of these participants had met either DeConnick or Fraction in settings like comic book conventions, book signings, and other public appearances.
Nearly half of the participants in this study indicated that they had interacted with MCM online; most of these participants had communicated with either DeConnick or Fraction via social media platforms like Twitter, Periscope, Facebook, etc.
Additionally, roughly 89% of participants indicated that they subscribed to MCM's digital newsletter.
