CITY BUSINESS PERMIT AND LICENSING OFFICE 

By virtue of the delegated authority of the City Mayor, the City Business Permit and Licensing Office (CBPLO) shall be responsible for the issuance of licenses, permits and may recommend to suspend or revoke the same for any violation of the conditions upon which said licenses or permits had been issued pursuant to law or ordinance. 

It shall conduct inspection and monitoring of businesses in the eighty-six (86) barangays in Butuan City. 

It likewise participates in the implementation of ordinance, law, policies and formulation of proactive measures to increase local revenue, investment and job-generating businesses or new industries. 

Furthermore, the CBPLO shall monitor and enforce other pertinent laws, ordinances, rules and regulations in the operation of tricycles, pedicabs, events and/or activities and initiate review of revenue-generating policy and recommend amendment and revisions thereto for the general welfare.

Finally, the CBPLO shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.
