- DETAILS: JCA is our participant database and it is central to our clinical work, reporting requirements, and research work. You will receive robust training with CCI’s DAAR (Data Analytics and Applied Research) team later on in your onboarding experience, but these videos will serve to give you an overview and get you started on your caseload once you start taking participants.

- DETAILS: The Justice Center Application ("JCA2" or "JCA 2.0") is the official case management database for most operating programs of the Center for Court Innovation (CCI). Program staff collect and enter a range of data points into the JCA2, including screening and court information, intake and assessment data, compliance data, case outcomes, etc. All data that is stored in the JCA2 is regularly used by CCI’s Data Analytics and Applied Research (DAAR) researchers in ongoing data analyses that help programmatic staff and important stakeholders monitor and evaluate programs, identify gaps and trends, and better understand relationships between a variety of predictive factors and various criminal justice outcomes of interest, all in an effort to promote data-driven decision-making at the program and policy-level. Because JCA2 data is regularly used to inform policymakers, it is incredibly important that what we put into the JCA2 is valid and reliable. To maximize the validity and reliability of our data, data entry protocols developed by DAAR must be closely followed by those who enter data in JCA2. As programs and data needs change and evolve, training materials must be constantly updated to reflect the most up-to-date protocols for data entry. This JCA2 Handbook was created to serve as a hub for all JCA2-related training materials/instructions.
