Media and Information Sources
The media and information greatly affect the communication processes and in time, people have come up with several forms of sources for this. And nowadays, information can be picked anywhere virtually.
But before the web pages and media, we have books, journal and magazine articles, expert opinions, and encyclopedias as our sources of information.
INDIGENOUS
The word indigenous means native or local and indigenous knowledge refers to knowledge that is unique to a specific society. This knowledge reflects the culture of a person.

Folk or Traditional Media
The traditional Media/Folk Media means the mediums through which the cultural traits passed from generation to generation. It is born and expressed in the idiom of people's culture and gas always seemed to entertain, educate and propagate the existing ideas and attitudes.
Gatherings and Social Organizations
People and gatherings interrelated together make social organization. It is the consequence of social association among individuals. It is the organization of social relationship where people and gatherings partake. Every one of the social foundations are social organizations.
Direct Observation
Direct observation – The researcher is the observer, recording what he or she is watching (sensing). Indirect observation – The researcher must rely on the reported observations of others.
Records
Record means to set something down or preserve it in a way that keeps permanent evidence of it. Record is also used to refer to the writing or document that is the preserved account of something. Record is also an achievement that is the best or highest amount. Record has several other senses as a verb and a noun.
Oral Instruction
It is the basic way through which each learner is able to organise, assess, narrate, and manage their own experience. It helps to interact with others and is a method of effectively speaking and listening requiring the use of thought, information, and abilities. As a result, it is central to everyone's lives.
LIBRARY
This is a place where you can find books, manuscripts, recordings, or films. These materials are kept for public use and they are not for sale.
These are the types of libraries:
Academic (in colleges and universities)
Public (in cities and towns)
School (for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12)
Special (found in special fields like hospitals, corporations, museums, the military, private business, and the government)
INTERNET
Getting information from the internet becomes crucial these days. When you choose the internet to get information, there are some considerations to make in order to make sure that the information is verified and true.
It must be reliable, accurate, valuable, has authorship, and there’s timeliness. Always look for the author, date of publication, citations, and domain.
.com means commercial
.gov means government
.edu means educational
.org means a nonprofit organization
.mil means military
