Connecting the community together is a big part of our mission toward Green Infrastructure. Those who have outlets and connections to others in the area can be a big help in educating the public on water consciousness and advocating for Green Infrastructure practices.
If you or someone you know is affiliated with a group or is interested in aiding the green infrastructure outreach initiative, get in touch with us and spread our educational materials to help make everyone aware.
The Stormwater Stewards program will facilitate participation of citizens in the effort of outreach and education. For interested individuals who associate with a group, club, or other organization within the community. Stewards will provide an outlet for connections to our projects. School teachers connecting to their classrooms, church representatives sharing more of the good news, an employee in the workforce helping their coworkers to give back, or an individual sharing information through a booth at a social event are all examples of ways this program can function. While Project Coordinators can’t always be everywhere, the citizens of the Chequamegon Bay can help fill in the gaps.
