Stormwater Stewards

The Stormwater Stewards program will facilitate participation of citizens in the effort of outreach and education. For interested individuals who associate with a group, club, or other organization within the community. Stewards will provide an outlet for connections to our projects. School teachers connecting to their classrooms, church representatives sharing more of the good news, an employee in the workforce helping their coworkers to give back, or an individual sharing information through a booth at a social event are all examples of ways this program can function. While Project Coordinators can’t always be everywhere, the citizens of the Chequamegon Bay can help fill in the gaps.

Expectations of this volunteer position include:

• • Completion of a formal background check through the City

  • Consent to receive emails on a regular basis:

    • Weekly Water Words

    • Monthly Newsletters

    • Special event invitations

  • Training for interaction with citizen base:

    • Posting provided materials in a shared space

    • Providing explanation for materials and project goals

    • Directing interested citizens to appropriate resources
