The train is one of the most important public transports and is often used by the population. In the modern era that is progressing, railway construction in Malaysia is also getting better and more efficient. Based on sources from the Land Transport Agency (APAD), the daily average of train passengers in 2020 is 438,438. The punctuality of arrival (city train) in 2020 is 99.58%. The old Kluang Railway Station was built in 1909 and will end its operation and be transferred to the new railway building after the construction of the station for the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electric Double Track Project (PLBEGJB), which is expected to be completed in 2023. The PLBEGJB project is a project under the Ministry of Transport, which has been running the project since 2018. The PLBEGJB Kluang project is a main station equipped with various complete facilities, such as train platforms with covers, waiting rooms, elevators, and ramps. Kluang's new station is in the third section, which is Paloh-Renggam, whose route length is 42.25km.
