How to Help

There are many ways to help your local neighbors during these difficult times. Volunteer, give money, call on a senior... Here are some suggestions!

Donate Money

  • Donate money to CazCares

  • Donate money to CRIS

  • Donate to the Mustard Seed, an area charity run by St. James Catholic Church to help local families in need. You do not have to be a member of the church to receive assistance. Scroll to the bottom of their site to see the link to donate online. You can also send a check made out to "Mustard Seed." Mail to St. James Catholic Church, 6 Green Street, Cazenovia, NY 13035.

  • Support your local businesses. The owners and employees need you right now. Tip well.

  • Donate to the Affiliate Fund to provide grants to local non-profits.

Donate Your Time and Skills

  • Call your at-risk neighbors (elderly, ill, or disabled) to see if they are okay or need any assistance

  • Volunteer your time or share your skills in person, at home, or virtually for our local residents. Fill out the volunteer form here or call the CazCOVID Response Line at 315-655-9063 to see how you can help.

  • For those who can sew, Upstate has released instructions for creating face masks to be donated to the hospital. If you can sew but don't have a machine or materials, please call the CazCOVIDResponse Team at 315-655-9063.

  • Skanda is looking for volunteers who want to experience outdoors with the animals and and help with the gardens. Those interested should call or email: 315-480-9480 ellen@thehavenatskanda.org
