A significant spike of positive Covid-19 tests has occurred in Cazenovia this week with the Madison County Health Department reporting 1 case on June 16, 4 total on June 17 and 11 total as of June 18. This was not due to a "public exposure" (eg: in a park) but rather due to person-to-person transmission within a defined group. Nonetheless, the speed with which one case can multiple into many is a vivid reminder that we must all continue to adhere to good basic principles: practice social distancing, even when outside, wear a mask when you cannot or whenever you enter a place of business or enclosed area, wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. (6/18/20)
