Free Meals for Students
All students residing within the Cazenovia Central School district are eligible for a free boxed breakfast and lunch during the school closure. Pickup is from 8 to 11 am on Mon/Tues/Thurs (NOT Wed/Fri) in the Middle School Bus Circle. Extra meals will be distributed on Tues/Thurs to account for Wed/Fri. Call Food Services Director Char Grimes at 315-655-5346 if you need more information.
Caz Cares (Food Pantry)
Call 315-655-3174 or visit https://cazcares.org/ for needs related to nutrition. Free curbside pickup of food staples is available. Hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:30 am – 12 noon, and Monday Afternoons 4:00-6:00 pm. If you are unable to pick up the food, or need assistance with food delivery, please call the Caz COVID Response Team at 315-655-9063.
SNAP
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) issues electronic benefits that can be used like cash to purchase food. SNAP helps low-income working people, senior citizens, the disabled, and others feed their families. Learn more to see if you are eligible and apply for SNAP here.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels provides nutritious home-delivered meals to help seniors and people with disabilities. For more information call CRIS at 315-655-5743.

Takeout Food Safety
The FDA has an FAQ on food safety and COVID-19. Mercury News has curated a list of these specifically on the safety of takeout food. There is no evidence of COVID-19 spreading by food, but it does survive on surfaces so make sure to wash your hands and utensils before eating.
Gift Cards
If you would like to support a local business but do not want to go out, consider purchasing a gift card. Many businesses sell gift cards, and buying one now is effectively providing them with a no-interest loan.
