Canva Infographic for the organization For Michigan
I utilized the opportunity to showcase my design skills and help the organization out. The opportunity to design an infographic for a nonprofit helped me better understand Canva and make certain design choices that spread the message better.
I implemented revisions suggested by my higher-ups to improve the design. I only had a couple of days to think about and execute this project. I first researched Holland to ensure I did not miss any potential voters’ polling locations. From there, I included an image of Holland’s clerk’s office and the address.

Mobile Canvas Redesign Project
Conducted user testing for each iteration of my redesigns for the mobile version of Canvas discussion boards.
Redesigned Canvas discussion board functions, such as the symbol for file, a pop up menu for different file types, and a way to attach more than one file to the post to accommodate users better, leaving them less frustrated with the app.
Created Empathy maps to gauge users' and stakeholders' feelings.
Completed the project using MS Word, embedding a table of contents, hyperlinks to each section, appendices, and images of each process before and after my iterations.

Instructions for Lego Jetski
This third one entails more of my instruction writing skills; it features levels and steps to build a LEGO Jetski.. We were tasked with writing instructions for a young audience on how to make our structures.
The LEGO Instructions required me to think outside the box and use terminology familiar to an eight-year-old. Centering my writing around that age group was challenging, but it was essential to accommodate my audience’s needs to help them build the proposed LEGO structure.
Overall, this project was a success. Our user testing went well and users were able to build our structure using different versions of the instructions.
