BOOK ONE.
SUMMARY - THE CLANS PREPARE FOR A BATTLE AGAINST THE NON-SPIDERS AND THEIR UN-MOTHER AT THE SCRYING POOL. MEANWHILE, CATS SEARCH FOR THE WYLDSPRINGS, SEEKING THE AID OF THE ALFAR.
DUNECLAN.
STRIFE. While on a seemingly normal patrol, four Duneclan warriors were attacked by Harpies, trying to defend their nests at the Sundial Spires-- a Wyldspring in Duneclan territory.
OMEN. Duneclan, in the night, is visited by visions of a slew of crimson stars, falling across the sky. Anyone who saw this was afflicted by a terrible violence-- before one of the stars crashed into the Duneclan Oasis. Warden Rattlekeeper gave that star to the Pyre in Duneclan's camp.
BETRAYAL (?). Tumblepaw of the Spires leads cats from each Clan on a tour around Duneclan territory, looking at various animals-- but this turns out to be a trap, leading multiple cats into the jaws of the Not-Spiders.
FJORDCLAN.
PACT. Guppypaw of the Crab Raves finds a Wyldspring, and agrees to help awaken it, making a minor pact with the Alfar guarding it.
OMEN. Fjordclan awakens one morning to find their beach covered in dead and decaying sea animals. Livyatan-thunder of the Maelstrom stumbles upon the skull of Whelkdiver, formerly Drownedstar of Fjordclan. Glasspaw of the White Sands also attempts to give blood to the ocean to appease it.
STEPPECLAN.
RECRUITMENT. Augurpaw of the Wailing Pyre begins recruiting cats to fight at the Battle of the Scrying Pool, and leads some to search for a Wyldspring at the Zenith.
STRIFE. As Steppeclan arrives at a tonight-camp, they are assaulted by Hunter-Prey Shrikes, believed to be controlled by nearby Not-Spiders. In the battle, newly-welcomed Aukcloud of Fjordclan loses an eye, and Powerfulpaw of the Cloud Serpent encounters the Un-mother, before being saved by Luckyleap.
WEALDCLAN
JOURNEY. Eveningstar of the Primordial Springs leaves with Fennecmoon of Duneclan on a journey, seeking out the fabled Darkstone. She leaves preparation for the Battle of the Scrying Pool in the paws of Umbralpath.
ODDITY. Halfkeeper of the Vacant Grotto leads fellow warriors to investigate an oddity in the Slumbering Eye, the location of a Wyldspring.
STRIFE. Wealdans encounter a persistent screaming, following it to the Memorial Pool, where the dead are trapped by Not-Spiders.
EPILOGUE.
STRIFE. A makeshift coven of Witches visit the Scrying Pool to investigate the not-spider activity; this party consists of Fjordlins Triggersight and Guppypaw, Steppens Augurpaw and Mangepaw, and Duneans Pyritepaw and Sagepaw. It turns out to be a trap laid by the commander of the not-spiders and a mortal ally: the notorious exile Marimo(shade). Reality is cracked by the not-spiders webs, Unreality bleeding through the Scrying Pool. Marimo takes advantage of Unreality’s Rules to steal Triggersight’s throat, speaking the Sound of the Name of the Mother of Not-Spiders. The makeshift coven is forced to flee for their lives, leaving the Scrying Pool entangled in webs
CEREMONY. Steppen Foxpath undertakes her Championship Trial and succeeds, now named Hearthstar of the Muddied Maws. She appoints Blushhawk as Warden, becoming Blushkeeper of the Skymaw. Hencomet of the Rainbow Prairie is appointed Dame Matriarch. Dogshine of the Star-Stranded Strays is named Young Warden, and Ossifragepaw of the Basilisk’s Lair as Young Champion.
POLITICS. Dunean Warden Rattlekeeper comes together with the other Courts to discuss a new rank: Heralds. Heralds are messengers of the Clans, spending their days and nights running across the territories to deliver news and scout. Heralds are formally instated as a rank, with volunteers being accepted into the new position.
DEATH & CEREMONY. Young Champion Hyssopripple fails his Champion Trial, and is taken by the sea. Tigergut steps forward, and with the Clan’s approval, is put through the Trials herself. She emerges from the wave as Devouredstar of the Meat. Subsequently, Devouredstar names Veteran Deep Diver Crabpath for Warden, and she becomes Kingkeeper of the Crab Rave. Tidehaze of the Deep ascends to Anointed of the Fjordlin Coven. Vaporpaw of the Rainbow Gate is chosen for Young Warden, and Crescentmurmur of the Starlit Depths for Young Champion.
ODDITY. At the Grandthing, three cats are "raptured" to a place known as Haven, after following the Petalbugs that have been occupying the Cauldron. These cats are told to find the Wyldsprings, if they want any hope of dealing with the growing threat of the Not-Spiders.

THE COYOTE PATROL IN PRAIRIECLAN - link
Two coyotes make their way to the PrairieClan camp, starving and deranged. One is killed and the other fought off by Fishstar, Foxpath, Strawpaw, Kiteshine, Candlerunner, and Coyotesong. Fishstar is severely injured in the fight. The surviving coyote flees camp. Though its scent is found on the DesertClan border, it has yet to be seen again…
THE WITCHES’ HALF-MOON GATHERING - link
The witches meet for their Coven gathering on a cold night in leaf bare. Discussion is kept short as no one wishes to be there for longer than necessary. Upon falling Beyond the Veil they are surrounded by ice and blood and viscera, silence beyond their heartbeat ringing in their ears. A kitten, crying for milk, their apprentices, their kits, all the young of the Clans desperate and starving. And then they are purring, happy and feeding off the blood, soothing themselves until they are no longer hungering, feeding off the gore. A warning or a promise?
CENTIPEDEPAW, KOIPUDDLE, AND TIDEHAZE’S VISITATION - link
Centipedepaw, Koipuddle and Tidehaze are all visited by a strange cat during a collective dream. This cat delivers a harrowing message to the three of them: “The Carcass of Peace shivers and groans / Swollen be it with Child / Whom will Birth Itself with claw and fang / The Blood of War’s Birth / Douse Fire, taint Water, foul Air, stain Earth.” During this meeting, the stranger also declares Centipedepaw his son, perhaps explaining their clear favoritism. All three awake after the dream shatters around them, just in time for the Gathering. Tidehaze and Koipuddle are unsure of what to do - tell the other Witches or seek out Centipedepaw.

CHAPTER ONE
LEAF-BARE
MOON 1
The Full-Moon Gathering - link
All four clans gather at the Great Tree for their annual Full-Moon Gathering. FjordClan arrives late, due to a sheet of ice blocking the clan entrance. After a brief period of intermingling amongst the clans, Rattlestar calls the meeting into session, and the reports begin. Duneclan has little to report, mentioning the apprenticeship of a new Witch, and commenting on the peaceful era due to the absence of the ever-insatiable Starving Dark. WealdClan is next to report, with Eveningstar announcing Opposumpaw as CavernClan’s latest Witch apprentice, and Mousepaw and Stripepaw as warrior apprentices, training under Marblewatcher and herself respectively. The Gatherings' flow is momentarily interrupted, however, as a SteppeClan warrior questions Eveningstar, leading to a brief tension between the WealdClan and SteppeClan leaders. Despite this, Fishstar steps forwards to deliver SteppeClan’s report, declaring that his clan remains strong despite suffering a coyote attack. Before he can go on any further, however, he is interrupted by the yowl of Drownedstar, who lashes out and accuses him of being a murderer, and accuses DuneClan and WealdClan of being complacent in this injustice.
Before Eveningstar or Rattlestar could stop them, they charge Fishstar and tackle him (and themselves) off the Telling Stone, breaking some of their own ribs in the process. They strike his exposed gum, causing them to bleed anew once more, before collapsing into a wailing fit and falling unconscious. The gathering shatters into fragments of chaos, and each clan runs their own separate ways, lead by their deputies and leaders, while FjordClan Witches Tidehaze and Koipuddle and warrior Tigergut remain in the Great Tree to treat Drownedstar before eventually returning them home.
The Half-Moon Gathering - link
With tensions high from the disaster that was the last Full-Moon Gathering, the Witches of the Cauldron Coven gather together at the Scrying Pool. Though they all arrive early, Silverpelt’s Eye not yet over the Pool, conversation is scarce and awkward. Silently and quickly did the Witches stare into the Scrying Pool as its surface turned silver, quickly dragging them through the Veil and into the domain of Leafhome. There, the Witches bear witness to the cats bickering and arguing rather than helping them, and only does a mysterious, threatening call for silence from a force beyond put a stop to it. After a wait as the cats of Leafhome seemingly get their shit together are the Witches finally given a prophecy: They witness their beloved apprentices scream and wail, the blood of their mentors thick in their mouths. Even when the Witches are thrown back into the Mortal Realm are their Apprentices still screaming and bloodied.
And yet they only received the first two lines of the full prophecy that Tidehaze, Koipuddle, and CavernClan Warrior Apprentice Centipedepaw did….
Tidehaze and Koipuddle have yet to tell anyone of the full prophecy.
Patrol Encounter: IsthmusClan and CavernClan - link
With tensions high on both sides of WealdClan, Eveningstar sends out a patrol to check on the border with their water-loving neighbors. Led by Senior Warrior Rustedglare, younger Warriors Rhizanthella-riddle, Olivinebone, and Midnightsorrow encounter a FjordClan patrol quite quickly. Deputy Hyssopripple and Warrior Tigergut have taken Apprentices Kingfisherpaw and Orcapaw to search for rocks in the mountain-side streams, and their peaceful night out quickly goes downhill. A combative Olivinebone and paranoid Rhizanthella-riddle rapidly raise the tension, an argument beginning between the adults. Things come to a head when Rhizanthella-riddle snaps, launching at Kingfisherpaw but stopping herself just before hurting him. With the FjordClan apprentices shaken and Tigergut and Hyssopripple in an uproar, Rustedglare is swift to leave the situation after blows are briefly exchanged.
Rattlestar and the PrairieClan Witches - link
Two border patrols, composed of Rattlestar, Buzzardhymn, Goldensight, and Sagepaw of DuneClan, and Burrowfeather, Snakeblood, Harrieryawp, Pyrebone, and Hoopoespark of SteppeClan happen upon one another along the shared border. As it would happen, it seemed to be just the company the elusive Rattlestar was looking for. The patrols met at the border, and while tensions crackled between Fire and Air due to the embittered tongue of Goldensight, Rattlestar announced they only approached to speak peacefully in regards to the events of the last gathering.
The SteppeClan patrol was asked about their opinions regarding their leader, and their beliefs on the rumors being spread. After some thought, Burrowfeather and her patrol assure them of their faith in their leader despite the tensions, and though recovering from a wary startle, friendly salutations were exchanged as the two parted ways with naught else to say.
Fishstar’s Truth - link
Fishstar calls for an announcement, revealing his truth of being wrongly accused of a crime he did not commit and his subsequent banishment. The reactions are mixed, some supporting him and others skeptical - however all agree that they don’t see him as a murderer. Secretaryheart is among the loudest in the opposition, calling Fishstar’s honor into question and challenging him to prove himself worthy of leading SteppeClan. Others echo her sentiment and Fishstar vows to prove to them all that he is worthy.
The Witch Apprentices’ Mission - link
Crownpaw and Mangepaw, Witch Apprentices of SteppeClan, gather together their fellow Witch Apprentices for a very important mission: Confront Leafhome at the Scrying Pool, and get the answers their mentors didn’t. Though the WealdClan Witch Apprentices didn’t make it, Charpaw and Glasspaw of FjordClan did, as did Sagepaw of DuneClan. An attempt at chanting to summon the spirits of their ancestors on a night that isn’t the Half-Moon goes about as poorly as expected, especially so after everyone begins arguing. Glasspaw, who had been late, arrives just in time for a mysterious force to make itself known. It is a painful thing, this force, one that causes the apprentices great pain and forces them to the ground. Glasspaw, assuming the presence was the same force that had been at the previous Half-Moon Gathering, offers it a sacrifice of blood from her tongue. Another force makes itself known, ejecting the other from the Scrying Pool just as Witches Tidehaze of FjordClan and Burrowfeather of SteppeClan appear to gather their wayward apprentices. If anything has been learned from this venture is up for debate…

The Second Full-Moon Gathering
Though tensions remained high, especially with the creeping exhaustion of sleep deprivation, the Full-Moon Gathering went… mostly smoothly. The Matriarchs Council had an important announcement to make, and it seems SteppeClan just can’t catch a break. Maplebreaker of WealdClan, the most senior Matriarch in the Cauldron, started off by announcing her retirement and that the Council had “made a decision regarding SteppeClan”. Her former Apprentice, Agatekeeper, would go on to give the ultimatum— either the Matriarchless SteppeClan chooses a Matriarch by the Half-Moon Gathering, or Maplebreaker would be going to stay with SteppeClan to decide for them.
Naturally, SteppeClan isn’t very fond of this decision. However, it’s accepted, and the Gathering winds down as normal… mostly. At the base of the Talking Stone is the majority of the Cauldon Coven, brought to attention by Tidehaze. With Tidehaze having finally revealed the rest of the prophecy, though not specifying when exactly he and Koipuddle got it, the Witches begin to theorize and discuss. A terrible cough seizes several of the young Apprentices after the mention of a possible plague and war, the anger accompanying it briefly bringing Charpaw and Pyritepaw to blows. Though it’s settled quickly by the graduated Witches, it seems resentment lingers…
Goat-tuft’s New Role
When one volunteered to fulfill SteppeClan’s role of Matriarchs, Fishstar took things into his own paws and made the decision far before the Half-Moon. Making a rather interesting choice in the warrior Goat-tuft, who eagerly accepted the chance to be of a High Rank, Fishstar is satisfied with this decision. Putting aside Clan politics and bringing Goat-tuft to the WealdClan border at the Ghostcamp, Maplebreaker is eager to receive the two and discuss their future…
A Warning of Bloodshed - link
Fishstar announces his intentions to reclaim the land stolen by Eveningstar, long ago in the same battle that she claimed Whirlstar’s last two lives. The announcement is met with anticipation and energy.
Drownedstar’s Misery, Rattlestar’s Questions, and Fishstar’s Decision - link - link
Rattlestar meets with Drownedstar upon the border of their territories. Seeking to learn more about the events that led to Fishstar’s exile and current tensions, Rattlestar carefully treads through conversation with a temporally lost Drownedstar. She believes them to be Rattletongue still, and her good mood leads to an easier time of learning what happened…
Meanwhile, Fishstar and his patrol issue a challenge to Eveningstar on the SteppeClan and WealdClan border. The challenge is met, Wind and Earth battling against one another. Things reach a peak when Eveningstar senses a losing battle, and so slays Fishstar to give her Clan an opportunity to leave. When Fishstar recovers from the life brutally taken from him, WealdClan has fled, and the territory is once more SteppeClan’s.
CHAPTER TWO
NEW-LEAF
The Second Half-Moon Gathering
Once again, the Witches convene at the Scrying Pool, finding Charpaw to be waiting for them. Charpaw explains they’ve been taking up fighting and subsequently banished, stripped of the ‘paw to their name. DuneClan and SteppeClan both agree to take in Char, who picks SteppeClan. The Witches each take their place at the pool and find themselves in Leafhome, only for it to be empty. After some squabbling Pyritepaw begins to choke on a ball of blood and eyes. A wave of gore suddenly comes their way, heralded by a Leafhome cat. The cat blasts the wave with fire but it does little to stop the wave from crashing down on Tidehaze and Glasspaw. The spirit reveals themselves to be Whirlstar of SteppeClan as she scolds the duo for being so reckless, revealing the wave to have been made from Glasspaw’s sacrifices to the Scrying Pool. Glasspaw almost succumbs to the blood before being saved by the Witches uniting (almost) all their souls, but not before spider-like balls of flesh called bloodclots- also made by Glasspaw- escape into the Cauldron.
The Council of Matriarchs
IN PROGRESS
An Alliance Proposed
Fishstar meets with Rattlestar at the Gathering Space within the Great Tree to propose an alliance. With WealdClan and FjordClan against SteppeClan, their only hope at not being outnumbered is by requesting DuneClan for help. Rattlestar informs Fishstar that is a decision not for them alone to make. Upon arriving back at camp, Rattlestar holds a vote amongst DuneClan- will they aid SteppeClan, or mind their business? It is a unanimous vote amongst DuneClan that they will in fact form the alliance.
Red Skies At Morning
UPCOMING
The Third Full-Moon Gathering
The air is tense as all four Clans gather again. Drownedstar makes no mention of banishing Char or her patrol into DuneClan’s camp, leading to outrage. Eveningstar
calls for a Trial, asking deputies of each Clan to give statements on behalf of all warriors. Though full judgment varies, each Clan privately agrees Drownedstar should no longer be leader. A storm begins as Drownedstar drools sea water. Emperorwind speaks on behalf of Buzzardhymn and claims the intruding patrol should be punished- which is not what DuneClan decided. Drownedstar claims, “Th’water is tainted and it’ll douse the fire, foul the air, stain the earth! I may die, but Squidstar still wins.” as the storm worsens. A creature of the Starving Dark is nearby, but unintentionally repelled by a Word of Power by Char. The world begins to scream as nearby warriors attempt to assassinate Drownedstar, only to be stopped by Tidehaze. Drownedstar is convicted to demotion and execution, but is taken by WealdClan to have punishment delivered later. The Clans flee into the storm as the Great Tree is struck by lightning and some trees begin to float. Kindlingdancer loses her eyes in the chaos, and Sunshinefall is trampled to death.

UPCOMING
WEALDCLAN
WealdClan has never been a combative Clan, preferring to keep to their tunnels and information gathering, but that’s changed in two different extreme directions under the recent leaderships of Murkstar and his successor, Eveningstar.
RANK. Eveningstar’s Young Champion, Dirtfoot, cannot handle the grief & pressure and resigns. Grizzlystrike of the Bloodied Drake is appointed Young Champion three nights later.
DEATH. Anointed Witch Shattersight goes mad after receiving a Prophecy on the Empty Moon, and is found dead of her own claws in the Olm’s Spring. Thistlefall abdicates to Garnetberry, making her Anointed Witch.
RANK. Larvaswipe appoints Halfstone of the Vacant Grotto as Young Warden.
WAR. Eveningstar launches a massive assault on SteppeClan territory that had not only previously belonged to WealdClan, but included an area that had always been SteppeClan’s. In the conflict, Eveningstar strips Whirlstar of her two remaining lives, leaving her Young Champion Fishteeth to become Champion. SteppeClan retreats, with WealdClan winning the territory back and additional land.
RANK. Fossilhowl steps down after complications due to an injury received in a Starving Dark incident. Eveningstar appoints Dirtfoot as her Young Champion.
WAR. Tension escalates as Whirlstar continues to press the border and WealdClan continues to defend it. Eventually, WealdClan begins to launch counter attacks, reclaiming their territory.
WAR. Whirlstar once again presses the border, but WealdClan keeps it.
POLITICS. Eveningstar and WealdClan focus on recuperating and strengthening the borders of what is left of their territory. The first Festival that Eveningstar attends as Champion disbands early, as an innocent remark from Squidstar escalated into a nearly physical confrontation between Whirlstar and Eveningstar.
RANK. Anointed Witch Shattersight appoints Garnetpaw and Thistlepaw as her initiates.
DEATH & RANK. Murkstar was declared missing after vanishing on a heimferð planned to last five nights. His scraps were later found by Eveningwolf in the same tunnels where a young Thistlefall was maimed by an imprisoned Living Shadow. She brought back a chunk of his bloodied skin-and-fur as evidence. Eveningwolf becomes Eveningstar, and she appoints Fossilhowl as her Young Champion. Eveningstar finds Nightkeeper in contempt and knowing abuse of her rank, and Exiles her mother. Larvaswipe of the Glow-wyrms is appointed acting Warden.
WAR. SteppeClan sieges on their shared border, taking another swathe of land from WealdClan.
STRIFE. A devastating Leaf-bare freezes the forest and tunnels. Many die from hunger and illness, and few kits are born. WealdClan steeps in anxiety and resentment.
STRIFE & POLITICS. Murkstar declares that WealdClan will only attend Festival every other Full Moon, though Witches and Matriarchs will continue to attend Sanctum and Conclave. Agitation amongst the Clan grows.
RANK & STRIFE. Hematitekeeper of the Wolf Roses challenges Murkstar and is stripped of rank, to the Clan’s great terror. Murkstar appoints Eveningwolf of the Primordial Springs as his Young Champion. Hematiteheart’s Young Warden, Nightcloak, becomes Nightkeeper of the Primordial Springs.
DEATH(?). Sombrehollow of the Primordial Springs vanishes without a scent-trail while fleeing with a border patrol from an ambush by SteppeClan. Her absence isn’t noted until the patrol returns to camp. Murkstar fails to make a response.
WAR. Whirlstar of the Spires, leader of SteppeClan, begins to encroach on WealdClan territory. When the border markings remain stale and Murkstar fails to respond, she begins taking swathes of their land.
DEATH & RANK. Batshadow dies of old age, her former apprentice Shattersight of the Tear ascending to Anointed Witch.
STRIFE. Murkstar slowly isolates WealdClan even further from the other Clans. It begins to affect WealdClan’s ability to gather knowledge. Above ground patrols are rarely sent out.
DEATH & RANK. Bearstar dies, and her Young Champion, Murkpath, becomes Murkstar of the Primordial Spring. He appoints Sombrehollow of the Primordial Spring as his Young Champion.
DUNECLAN
A cat from Beyond the Mountains joins DuneClan during the leadership of Ocotillostar, taking the name Rattlepaw. They are trained by Lizardtail, and earn the Warrior name of Rattletongue.
Ocotillostar’s Young Champion, Cicadacatcher, dies from a scorpion sting. Rattletongue is appointed Young Champion.
Mourninghymn, a senior Witch, vanishes in the middle of the day. He is never found, leaving his apprentice Ivorypaw to be the sole Witch of DuneClan.
Ocotillostar loses his last life in his sleep. Rattletongue becomes Rattlestar.
Ivorypaw earns his full name, becoming Ivorythroat. He takes on Viceroypaw as his apprentice.
Viceroypaw becomes Viceroysong.
Ivorythroat and Viceroysong take on Pyritepaw as an apprentice.
FJORDCLAN
Senior Witch Prayingmoon passes away due to old age, leaving his apprentice Marimoshade as sole Witch of FjordClan.
Squidstar’s Young Champion, Wavyocean, seemingly dies from health complications. Fishteeth is appointed Young Champion.
Squidstar takes in a cat from Beyond the Mountains, renamed Tigerpaw. Squidstar’s health declines over the course of Tigerpaw’s mentorship.
Marimoshade is caught poisoning Squidstar’s meals. Trial reveals Marimoshade was the cause of Squidstar’s declining health and Wavyocean’s death. The Clan suspects he killed Prayingmoon as well, and when accused, Marimoshade lashes out. It is also revealed Marimoshade was acting on behalf of Fishteeth, though Fishteeth claimed no knowledge of involvement. Both Marimoshade and Fishteeth are exiled.
Squidstar graduates Tigerpaw to Warrior-hood with the name Tigergut. She passes away only a day later, too ill to name a Young Champion. She leaves behind her kit, Minnowkit.
FjordClan is left without a Leader, Warden, or Witch, as Marimoshade had not taken on an apprentice. The Clan panics.
Tidehaze is pulled from Warriorhood to become the new Witch. They are accepted by Leafhome at the Scrying Pool.
Squidstar’s parent, Senior Warrior Whelkdiver, is chosen by the Clan to become their new Champion. They pass the Championship Trial, and come back from the Scrying Pool going by the name of Drownedstar.
Drownedstar gives Tigergut primary mentorship over an apprentice named Tidepaw. Tidepaw is graduated to Warriorhood early, and becomes Tidepod. They die the night after their Warrior ceremony in a riptide.
STEPPECLAN
Witch Pyrebone goes missing, leaving Witch Burrowfeather as sole Witch of SteppeClan.
Whirlstar takes in FjordClan exile Fishteeth. He is renamed Fishpaw, as he must learn the ways of SteppeClan before earning his name back. Fishpaw is trained by Whirlstar.
FjordClan reveals the exile of Marimoshade and Fishteeth at the Gathering. Whirlstar states that SteppeClan has taken in Fishpaw with the intention of making him a Warrior. The Gathering is ended early due to conflict between FjordClan and SteppeClan. Eveningstar of WealdClan and Rattlekeeper of DuneClan do not state their positions.
Fishpaw passes his Challenge of Wind and earns his name Fishteeth back amongst controversy in SteppeClan. Whirlstar continues to back him.
Whirlstar’s Young Champion, Marblestride, steps down due to health complications from an injury that never healed well. Whirlstar appoints Fishteeth as Young Champion.
Eveningstar refocuses her goal of taking back the WealdClan territory lost by Murkstar to the SteppeClan border. Several battles ensue.
A border battle escalates. With Eveningstar leading the battle patrol, Whirlstar is called to join in. Eveningstar takes the last two lives of Whirlstar. SteppeClan is forced to retreat, WealdClan successfully taking their territory back as well as land that had always belonged to WealdClan.
Fishteeth passes his Championship Trial, and travels to the Scrying Pool. He returns as Fishstar.
After the death of Whirlstar, Fishstar focuses on retaliation against WealdClan for their transgressions. This wins him more favor within SteppeClan.
