"Tabby Cat"

Tabby Cats are rough, tough, and tumble, but they also love to play. This is an idea from my memory of Mitzi (she was one of five kittens from a stray that a student rescued in Pullman, Washington, when I lived there) and here she is on a comfy windowsill in Winter.

"Theater Cat"

Everyone knows cats were revered in ancient Egypt. The Egyptian Theater in Boise has a sphinx as a sentry to the theater to keep bad spirits away, and my painting "Theater Sphinx" is a nod to the creativity and wabi-sabi in all the arts that keeps us all alive.

"Wish Cat"

White cats are supposed to represent healing, and most of us could use some good healing. I am a cancer survivor - and this painting was created with a wish for healing for all. But you can have your own wish too.

Most of my art reflects my passion for painting. This is something I have always practiced: the creative life.

I am a signature artist with IGFA and I regularly participate in art events, exhibitions, and initiatives in Idaho. I am now afforded the wonderful privilege of traveling, building new art skills, and doing art full-time.

I mainly work in watercolor, oils, and acrylics.

"Warrior Cat"

An idea of a warrior cat came from the need all of us have to survive the difficulties and challenges of life, many of which are beyond our control and had nothing to do with our own actions. I included the blue ribbon to show support for the prevention of child abuse.
