There is CCTV on the front, side and back of the house, these cameras all link to my phone and can be viewed at any time. There is also a recording box that records from each camera. I only run on an appointment basis so I always know if someone is due to arrive. Along with the CCTV we have a ring doorbell that alerts mine and my partners if someone is on the front of our property, and again this comes straight through to our phones. I am here on site the majority of the time, however I do go to drop my son off at school and collect him, the school is only 5 minutes away. There are also times when I take my dogs for a walk - this will be local. When I do have to leave for a short time the cat guests will have been checked on and supplied with everything they need. The big gate to the garden is shut and locked and I have 2 emergency people that live very close by that work from home on stand by if needed.
Your Cat/s must be up to date with their vaccinations.
A kitten's vaccination schedule typically includes a series of core vaccines and boosters. The exact schedule may vary, but a typical schedule is as follows:
8–10 weeks
The first round of vaccines, which usually includes Feline leukemia (FeLV) and a three-in-one vaccine for feline parvovirus, feline herpesvirus, and feline calicivirus.
11–14 weeks
A second round of vaccines, which usually includes FeLV and the three-in-one vaccine.
14–18 weeks
A third round of vaccines, which may be given for kittens at higher risk of disease.
12 months
A booster round of vaccines, which includes FeLV and the three-in-one vaccine.
Annual boosters
Booster rounds of vaccines are usually given annually to maintain immunity.
Why vaccinate kittens?
Kittens are more susceptible to infectious diseases because their immune systems are still developing.
Vaccinations help protect kittens from severe illnesses that can be fatal.
Vaccinations also prevent kittens from passing diseases on to other animals.
What vaccinations may be needed?
Feline leukemia (FeLV): An incurable virus that's transmitted through cat bites. It's recommended for all kittens, even indoor-only cats.
Feline parvovirus: Can cause severe vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration.
Feline herpesvirus: A common disease that cats can contract.
Feline calicivirus: A common disease that cats can contract.
You should consult your vet for the best advice on what vaccinations your cat or kitten needs.
SUPER IMPORTANT - Please make sure your cat/s arrive and leave in a secure carrier.
Make sure the carrier is in full working order and is big enough for your cat.
There is normally plenty of space to park on the road near the house. If the leisure centre is holding an event (normally on a Sunday) parking can be tricky, however I alway receive plenty of notice and can always talk to you about this situation if it will fall when you are expected with your cat.
Please do not park across neighbours drives or block them in. There is also a spot at the top of the road (corner house) that has gates that open out but it is a little unclear that this is actually a drive (looks like a fence) - just so you are aware and don't park here.
I don’t want to upset any of my neighbours, thanks!
I will come to meet you or I will have left the gate open for you to make your way into the back where you will find me. Don't worry i will be expecting you.
If you need help with your cats belongings, please call me from the car or let me know before arriving - I can look out for your arrival.
**Please note - please do not park near the top of the road on the same side as the houses - there is a drive with a gate (but it looks like a fence) and I don’t want to upset any of the neighbours, thanks 💚
You are more than welcome to change your cat's room around and add or remove items - YOU know your cat best and what they will and won’t like.
**Please allow 15-20 mins to settle your cat in
If you wish to receive updates and photos of your cat/s whilst they are at Cat Naps, it can be arranged to set up a whatsapp group or messenger can be used. I try to send regular updates but cannot commit to sending you one everyday.
Any cat found to have fleas or worms will be treated and the owner will be charged accordingly. Supermarket-bought flea treatments i.e Bob Martin products and flea collars are not acceptable means of treating your cat as they are not effective!
Frontline plus flea treatment can also be ineffective.
Please be sure to check your cat thoroughly before bringing them into the cattery.
To reduce any tummy upsets from food changes, please bring your cats food. I do have a stock of wet & dry food but can not guarantee what brand of food this will be and will change. Your cat/s will have their own draw where there belongings including food will be stored.
My business account is called ANNA Bank Account and this is where the invoice will come from. This is the logo. You will be able to do a bank transfer or follow the instructions given by ANNA to pay. Any problems or questions please email me on catnapscats@gmail.com
