Your task on this page is to reflect on and share what you've learned this semester. Here are the expectations for this:
Make the following argument: I've learned something this semester about writing and identify what it is that you've learned and how you learned it. Note that what you've learned should focus on key concepts below.
Include and define 2-3 key concepts, including rhetorical context (genre, audience, and purpose), lateral reading, "shitty first draft," ethos, pathos, logos. Be sure to use sources from class and supplement with online research.
Include evidence from your own writing, meaning a quotation or a screenshot of something you've produced for this class. Consider these as exhibits and explain how they support your argument that you've learned something this semester.
You should write at least two drafts of this and revise it based on feedback you receive.
Genre: This could be a listicle (5 Things I Learned in English 101), a video or a Prezi that you embed in here, an open letter to future students or your family about the usefulness of English 101.
Audience: Your audience for this piece could be your family, a future student, other WSU students.
These articles will help you write this.
