Project Description:For this project, the goal was to research examples in today's news of security breaches. I had to use reported media to evaluate the security issue while validating the resource.
This article shares the dangers of phishing links, the main incident commonly occurring is the use of illegal streaming websites and links. People are falling for the "Watch Now for FREE" links of box office movies, these links are leading people to dangerous and malicious malware including viruses. Everyday social media users are largely affected by this and will continue to fall for the scam. It is important to avoid these links at all costs and protect yourself from phishing scams. Not everyone can withstand the strength of not using these streaming sites, however, if using it is important to have a VPN to protect your device and data.

My Certificate!
Lessons I Learned:I learned a lot of new things during this module! There is a lot of cybersecurity being reported in the news than I had realized. I believe this is very helpful in the sense that it helps me be more aware of my data and protection online. I learned quite a bit regarding phishing and what to look out for. I think a cool part of this module was completing the CCBC cybersecurity training, not only did it teach me about cybersecurity but it also showed me how to avoid and detect scams, malware and malicious software.
