I completed my service learning experience with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), where I had the privilege of leading two different family groups. The common factor among these families was that the parents are primary caregivers to children with disabilities. My primary objective was to assist these families in discovering and accessing local resources in the Cleveland area, particularly those that may not have been readily available or known to them, given their recent arrival in the United States. During our group sessions, I curated and provided instruction on various resources tailored to their needs. I continue to maintain contact with USCRI and plan to continue volunteering my time in support of this organization.
