Welcoming guests to Central Portugal since 2007
Our story began in 2007, with a simple idea: to offer guests a more personal, comfortable, and authentic stay in Central Portugal. At the time, rural tourism in the region was still in its early stages — few options existed, and most were limited to nearby towns, lacking the warmth and charm of the countryside.
That same year, we opened our first property, Quinta das Eiras, followed by Casa do Forno in 2008. When Portugal introduced its local accommodation law (Alojamento Local), we became pioneers in the Ansião area, among the first to register “detached home” holiday rentals. It was a big step forward for rural stays in the region.
Though those first houses have since changed hands, they’re still active — a sign that our vision was built to last. We take great pride in having helped shape a more welcoming and thoughtful approach to local tourism.
Over the years, we’ve continued to grow and evolve, adding new homes like Cantinho do Outeiro (2014), Casa Inês (2015 – currently unavailable), and Sicó Lodge (2017). Each space reflects our commitment to quality, comfort, and genuine hospitality.
We’ve had the joy of welcoming guests from all over Portugal and around the world — many of whom return or recommend us to others. That ongoing trust is what keeps us inspired.
Today, with the same passion that started it all, we remain dedicated to offering memorable stays where every detail matters.

'We had a wonderful time in Sico Lodge. The apartment turned out to be very clean and comfortable. We loved the quiet little village the house is in, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. We stayed for a month in the fall and enjoyed the quiet surroundings, went for long walks in the neighbourhood, had lunch in lots of different Portuguese restaurants. Also, there was a lot to see and admire within driving distance: Tomar, Coimbra, Conimbriga, Leiria, Figuera da Foz, and interesting castles everywhere. We sure hope to return one day'.

'Even before our arrival we were given loads of information and instructions to find the Casa, which is in a beautiful rural location. We were met with a smile which remained for the duration of our extended stay. Minor problems were dealt with promptly, nothing being too much trouble for our host and family. We loved living in the small friendly community, the small towns had everything we needed. The weather was kind and the people even kinder. It was like stepping back in time and illustrates what we've lost as a society in U.K. The Cantinho is very well equipped, the pool a real bonus, and the gardens lovely. I am disabled (mobility) and although I don't think the cantinho was advertised as such it was certainly 'disability friendly'.

We appreciated the exact directions with photos where to turn per email, otherwise we could not find this wonderful place because the route planner did not find the address. But we could use your TomTom for our trips in your beautiful landscape. The portfolio of restaurants and trips is great, I´ve never seen such a beautiful and complete portfolio done with love!
