Every CAS journey is different — shaped by your interests, skills, and values. Below are real examples of CAS projects from IB students around the world. Each one demonstrates how Creativity, Activity, and Service can come together to form powerful learning experiences.
Students at the Moraitis School in Greece created and performed a play based on real experiences of Syrian refugees. The performance raised awareness — and funds — for refugee support services in Thessaloniki.
Creativity: Students wrote, staged, and performed a multi-character play based on interviews and research.
Service: The play was performed for the public, raising both awareness and money for Solidarity Now.
Ethics of Action: Students wrestled with how to represent suffering respectfully and accurately.
Skills Developed: Artistic expression, teamwork, research, ethical reasoning, empathy.
A group of students planned and performed in a concert to raise money for a local mental health center. From composing pieces to managing stage design, the event was a full CAS project that combined music and outreach.
Creativity: Students composed music, designed the event branding, and performed.
Service: Proceeds were donated, and the event raised awareness about mental health in the community.

Bao “Terry” Cao discovered his passion while volunteering to coach a U16 boys’ soccer team. His efforts led to a coaching internship at a youth academy, where he worked with children aged 7–14 and eventually became a qualified coach.
Activity: Coaching required physical involvement, demonstrations, and participation in sport.
Service: He contributed time, skill, and mentorship to young athletes in his community.
Creativity: Designing drills, activities, and learning strategies for youth players required original thinking and adaptability.
Skills Developed: Leadership, communication, goal-setting, time management.
Students at the International European School in Warsaw organized and hosted a Bake Sale to raise funds and awareness for local animal shelters. The Bake Sale not only showcased their culinary creativity, but their heart for making an impact and helping animals.

Service: Students contributed their time and effort to support a local cause, using the bake sale to raise both funds and awareness for animal shelters in their community.
