What’s involved?
CHS Interact Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in room 2109 at lunch for approx 30 minutes. We organize at least two projects every month, usually on the weekends, that help the community. Students are REQUIRED to have a combination of 15 hours per semester. Hours are made up of meetings, volunteering for Interact, volunteering outside of Interact, and bringing snacks and feminine hygiene products to meetings for the school. Samples of events are:
School ground cleanups around Wake County
Assisting with animal care at rescues
Collecting and distributing supplies to H2A farm workers
Greeting / Ushering at the Cary Arts Center for performances
Serving as a buddy to a child in need during a Miracle League game
Blood drives
so much more
How do I join?
To join Interact the first step is to fill out an Interest Form. Parents will then be required to fill out a release form for photography. You will be added to the school-approved app Remind, which is used for all communication. Parents are welcome to join the group app should they wish.
