WHOA WHOA WHOA IS THAT SUNSHINE IN BUFFALO?!?!?!
Got a late text that said - Are your boys free to go to the park to enjoy some sunshine and pizza?
PIZZA AND SUNSHINE is like my love language but, we aren't talking about me here, they were requesting Carson & Owen to the park with Pizza & Sunshine.
Luckily, whether he likes it or not, Carson is now like all time QB for his friends and that he did. He refereed a bit I presume, then sat and observed some Pickle Ball.
Love when the weather breaks and kids can bring the energy to the outdoors... no matter what it looks like for each kid - sunshine is the best for the soul! (And yes, he had sunscreen on his skin!)

Look at the workout that machine is getting from this beast of the east!
His back is still hurting a bit but he made it to PT like a boss!
Trust me, I won't be resting if this pain doesn't go away but he isn't complaining a ton, he is putting in all the work and also crushing it at online school!
Life is good - every day is a gift!

I-rish I had a crystal ball.
This poor kid has pain on and off in his shoulder and back. I feel bad. Likely due to his PT getting more rigorist or is it the elephant in the room? Dehydration? Too much of something?
Here's hoping the leprechaun brings some gold and some miracles to get things back to normal...whatever normal is anyway.
Regardless ~ Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Veins.
March 11th, 2025
Our scan follow-up was today with the doctor, along with the fact that he needed some bloodwork to keep up to date with his 3 month follow up.
They found 2 lung nodules but they are very small. Not causing any issues so I think, I hope all is ok.
Then came the blood work... I don't know if I jinxed it or what but Miss Wanda couldn't get blood drawn from this poor boy no matter what. It was very taxing on all of us but we will get it another time I suppose.
I have never been so exhausterwhlemulated in my whole life!

Carson had his scans today and of course, when there are needles involved you never know how his veins are going to act.
Today - they acted a fool.
3 different nurses had to give it a try to get a line started so he could get an MRI with and without contrast of his leg as well as a Chest CT scan with and without contrast to check for disease. Sometimes in Ewings, it spreads to the lungs. I am just saying to the universe - NOPE.
Another blown vein or 3 but we will get through it!

Courage of Carly has a celebration for Super Siblings every year.
They rented out a room at Pearl Street and had the most amazing spread for brunch. Complete with cookies and fun!
They had a scavenger hunt for "Find someone who has..." Bingo. It was so cute and got the kids up and moving and mingling. My shy boys had a tough time but thankfully they shook it out quickly and won a "squishy" star.
Carson wrote about what his siblings mean to him and then Megan from Courage of Carly, read it out loud if the kids didn't want to. I may or may not have cried when EVERYONE'S was read out loud either by the kids OR Megan.
This disease and the impacts not only on the child who is going through it - but the siblings too is just so much more gut wrenching.
I can't wait until there is a day when nobody goes through cancer! PERIOD.
