Here are the instructions for the Hasbro board game Taboo:
Number of players: 4 or more players
Teams: Players are divided into two teams
Goal: Players take turns giving clues to their team to guess a word or phrase without using any of the "taboo" words
Gameplay:
The clue-giver chooses a card and gives clues to their team
Teammates shout out possible words to guess the target word
The clue-giver's team scores a point for each correct guess
The clue-giver draws a new card and places it on the easel
The opposing team uses the buzzer to signal if the clue-giver says a taboo word or breaks a rule
The opposing team explains why the card was killed
The game continues until all players have taken a turn as clue-giver
The team with the most points wins
Taboo words: Taboo words are listed on each card and cannot be said by the clue-giver
Scoring: The number of correctly guessed words on the easel determines the clue-giver's team's score
Game-changer die: The game-changer die can change up the game once the classic version is mastered
Timer: The opposing team watches the timer and signals when time is up
Unfinished cards: Any unfinished cards on the easel are placed out of play and do not count towards the score
