QUIZIZZ
This online tool allows teachers and students to create and use one another’s quizzes.
--> A unique access code is provided to students so that then, a quiz is presented. It may be used live as a timed competition or for homework.
--> Students can review their answers after the quizzes have been completed.
--> Teachers are given feedback through spreadsheets complied with the resulting data, so that they can see students' performance.
Quizizz has a very straightforward layout. It is a friendly site that walks students through the quiz-making process step by step, in order not to overwhelm the user.
First the students need to enter the code. Once they have done that, all there is to do is select an answer to the questions as they appear. These quizzes can be accessed on any device with a web browser, such as mobile phones, tablets or computers.
You can browse quizzes or create your own. To do that you need to log in with an email account and a password. And then, you are ready to start: first select a name for your quiz and a picture and then dive into the creation of questions.
The site is free.
Students may use this site to review vocabulary content or theory and create their own quizzes to share with the whole group. A good way to exploit this site is to use it in class with students who can have access to a device and answer the questions live. Or if teachers assign theses quizzes as homework they might check students' understanding of the topics delivered.
SCRUMBLR.
You can use this tool to create an online whiteboard with as many columns you like. You can also add sticky notes on the board.
First you ester a title for your board. After that, you start typing information on each new card. You can drag the cards to different places of the board.
Use the plus sign at lower left to add sticky notecards with messages. You may draw attention to specific sticky notecards or color code them into groups. To do this you need to drag one of the colored dots from the lower right to the notecard.
A URL is created and anyone who had access to the link will be able to add information to the whiteboard. However, you MUST NOT forget to copy the URL before you close the board! and keep it somewhere you won't lose.
Teachers can teach students how to use these boards, in order for them to organize ideas, tasks, homework, links or important information.
Teachers can also ask students to create a wall as a part of a project in order to display their holidays or weekly schedule.
The board can be created a part of the class organization, where students can add homework, links that they might need in the future or information that they might need at home while doing homework.
Students can create walls on their hobbies, favorite sports, for grammar revision, vocabulary practice, pros and cons of topics among many other things.
Scrumblr.is great for SEN students because they can access the tool from any device with a browser.
Students can work collaboratively and take down notes so as not to forget what they will need to do in the near future. It also promotes students tapping on any device which is great for them since they are use to taping or typing rather than taking down notes on a piece of paper.
