I love this tool, since it is very easy to use. Students have the chance to express their knowledge without being exposed. This gives them the freedom to participate without judgement or inhibition. I used this tool as a student and as a teacher. In both cases the results were awesome. Teachers may empower students via participations in brainstorming, polling and formative assessment. It has another benefit which is that the tool is also free.
ACT 1: Teachers can use this tool as a trigger to brainstorm ideas from students at the begging of the lesson. Teacher will work with pollution and will ask students to brainstorm what words they think of when they hear the word pollution.
This is a great online notice board tool. It is a fantastic way to digitise the classroom not only in quarantine times but also for students to access their own work and their classmates' any time. Students are offered the chance to post documents, images, links or videos on the wall. This walls can either be private or public. It is an easy tool to use and very user-friendly. I've used this tool as a students. In my own experience it was a great way to portray information about a certain topic.
ACT 2: Teachers will ask the students to create a Padlet with the information they've seen during the lessons. The teachers will give each student a topic in which they will have to focus on.
Kahoot is an incredibly engaging tool. It is very student friendly and students can use their mobile phones or tablets in order to play. It is a game-base pedagogy where the teacher prepares a game depending on what she/he whats students to focus on. Teachers can create Kahoots in the form of quizzes, surveys or polls. Students engage in these games and participate while learning and revising concepts. I have used this tool as a student and also as a teacher. It is not only very user friendly but also a lot of fun!
ACT 3: Previous an exam, the teachers will create a Kahoot! game for students to practice and refresh some concepts about pollution.
