Research project:
Title: Spatial and demographic connectivity between populations of different caribou ecotypes.
Objectives: Evaluate connectivity among caribou ecotypes (migratory, boreal and mountain) and identify regions where gene flow is highest. Estimate divergence times and quantify demographic and genetic exchanges among populations at different temporal scales (contemporary and over the past centuries)

Research project:
Title: Mitigating the impacts of roads on migratory caribou.
Objectives: Identify concrete strategies to reduce the impacts of existing and planned roads on migratory caribou in the North American Arctic. Co-develop, in collaboration with Indigenous communities, a simulation tool to visualize the potential effects of road projects on migration routes and access to resources. Provide decision-makers with practical recommendations to guide the planning, design, and seasonal management of roads in ways that safeguard both caribou and the communities that rely on them.
This project related to the Caribou Ungava research program, is supported by a Liber Ero postdoctoral fellowship.
