WHO CAN APPLY

  • Full-time Loyola undergraduates enrolled spring and fall semesters of 2023

  • Available to be in Chicago mid-May to mid-June, 2023

  • African American, Hispanic, Native American, Native Alaskan or Pacific Islander students are strongly encouraged to apply

  • Students with disabilities as well as veterans of the U.S. Armed Services are also strongly encouraged to apply

  • Preference to 1st and 2nd years interested in air pollution and environmental justice

STIPEND & FACILITIES

  • $4000 stipend to each participant

  • Reimbursement up to $132 for local transportation

  • Reimbursement up to $500 for conference travel

  • Research materials and supplies (does NOT include laptops)


NOTE: Lodging and meals are NOT covered by the project.

Application for CARE 2023 ended on 11/18/2022.

The online application form will ask for the student’s biographical information, the name and contact information of a reference, and answers to questions related to student’s interest in becoming a CARE researcher and ability to work with local communities, and expectations from CARE.
