2026 Boy’s Soccer Season 

Ah, soccer. Mostly kicking a black-and-white ball around a green field full of allergens which we’re forced to do for gym class. But other than that, there’s a lot of heart and passion. Case in point, Alan Lojko, 8th Grade and Dominik Miazga, 8th Grade. (Max was here for, like, one question). And today they is here for one night and one night only to be interviewed about soccer! Here's some questions and responses.

Me: Why did you choose to play soccer in the first place? 

Alan: “I was forced to by my parents and my friends.” 

Dominik: “My friends brought me into it.” 

Max: “I had friends who played.” 

Me: What was your best game? 

Alan: “Against Jerling.” 

Dominik: “Against Jerling, we won by penalties.” 

Max: N/A 

Me: Do you ever play e-sports? 

Alan: “Yes. I play E-soccer.” 

Dominik: “I play Fifa and that’s it.” 

Max: N/A 

Me: What is your favorite soccer drill? 

Max: N/A 

Dominik: “Scrimmage.” 

Alan: “Scrimmage.” 

Me: What are your numbers? 

Max: N/A 

Dominik: “20” 

Alan: “15” 

Me: What are your positions? 

Dominik: “We both play midfield.” 

Alan: “Yes.” 

So next time you play soccer in gym and all you can think about is how you’d rather be doing anything else because you’ve been forced to do this or you’ll get a bad grade even though you can’t breathe and your legs are super itchy because you forgot to take your allergy pill this morning and you’ve already been hit in the face twice by the soccer ball and your shoes are totally soaked and smelly because you’re in zero hour gym class because being in band is the only good part of your day and beacuse it’s so early in the morning the grass is still wet, think about Alan’s wise word: “Yes.”
