This Quarter, the 6th graders are going to have their Greek Olympics. They got divided into 5 different teams based off ancient Greek city-states: Sparta, Athens, Corinth, Megara, & Argos. On their first days at their leaders’ classrooms, they worked on preparing for the Olympics. They decorated their teachers’ door, designed a poster and logo about their city-state, and came up with a song about their history. Throughout the quarter, students could submit offerings to the teachers relating to their corresponding Greek Gods. They could submit art, posters, presentations, crafts, or anything else relating to the Greek God. They would then earn Hella’s Points for it. Nearing the end of the quarter, the students would have OLYMPICS!!! For every event, the winner would get 5000 points, 2nd would get 2500, and 3rd would get 1000. The team with the most Hella’s Points total from the whole quarter would be the winners of the Olympics!
