Faculty Advisor

Dr. Alex Kaufman

Dr. Alexander L. Kaufman is the Reed D. Voran Distinguished Professor of Humanities and Professor of English at Ball State University where he teaches in the Honors College. His research and teaching interests include outlaws from the medieval period to the present day, the Robin Hood tradition, historical writing and medieval chronicles, Chaucer, Arthuriana, and medievalism.

Rowan is the current president of Cardinal Classics. They are a junior majoring in Creative Writing with minors in Spanish, Sustainability, and Social & Environmental Justice. . their favorite book is The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Vice President

Alice Smidebush (They/them)

Alice is the current Vice President of Cardinal Classics. They are a sophomore double majoring in Creative Writing and Professional Writing with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Their favorite book is The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Kline.

Secretary

Becca (She/her)

Becca is the current Secretary of Cardinal Classics. She is a junior majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. Her favorite book series is The Lunar Chronicles and her favorite stand alone is Kissing the Witch.

Elizabeth Gillespie (She/her)

Elizabeth is the current treasurer of Cardinal Classics. She is a junior majoring in Wildlife Biology with minors in Spanish, Natural Resources, and Professional Writing. Her favorite book is The Book Thief By Markkus Zusak.

PR Manager

Kendra Eller (She/her)

Kendra is the current PR Manager of Cardinal Classics. She is a junior double majoring in Pre-Med and Biology with a Concentration in Genetics with a minor in Spanish. She is also completing the Biotech Certificate. Her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
