Welcome to the Cardinal Classics website! This club is open to all Ball State students and faculty who have an interest in reading and discussing a variety of literature throughout the semester. While we will only be reading 2 or 3 books, they will act as conduits for discussing greater themes, contexts, and trends. Whether you join for fun or to learn, in this club you will develop and sharpen significant skills without the pressures of a formal classroom setting including:
Critical/Analytical thinking
Speaking communication and articulation
Emotional intelligence
Imaginative problem-solving
Time management
Ability to use critical terminology
Awareness of diverse perspectives and how different social and cultural contexts affect the nature of language and meaning
Even if you are not an English major, these skills will be useful further on in your academic and professional careers. Please feel free to contact us at any time with comments, questions, or concerns!
Any important announcements/updates will appear here! If you are looking for information about the Fall 2025 schedule, meetings, books, or readings, please select Fall 2025 from the bar across the top of the website.
