CARBON FOOTPRINT

▫️ The term carbon footprint means the GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions from a particular human activity.

▫️ Greenhouse gases -- mainly carbon dioxide (CO₂ ) and methane (CH₄) -- in the atmosphere trap and accumulate heat within the atmosphere, eventually causing the Earth's surface temperature to rise and leads to many other issues like global warming, sea levels rising and vegetation zones shifting.

▫️ As the steady rise in GHGs in the atmosphere is a major problem to all people, it is vital that we stay informed about the sources, statistics and analysis of carbon emissions.
