Haley works as the Outreach and Education Specialist for the COMET-Farm Team at Colorado State University where she focuses on providing trainings and developing tools to facilitate the use of COMET-Farm as the official greenhouse gas accounting tool of USDA-NRCS for land-based systems. In partnership with Carbon Cycle Institute, Haley has leveraged her skills in education in a continued effort to develop this Carbon Farm Planning Curriculum. Haley received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Ecology and Entomology and her MAT as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow at Piedmont College.
Jeff is co-founder of the Marin Carbon Project and Carbon Cycle Institute, where he provides senior leadership on carbon farming and land management. He brings thirty years of applied experience and theoretical training in climate and agriculture to the work. Jeff has trained and deployed carbon farm planners throughout California and provides on-going technical support and mentoring. Jeff holds a PhD in Rangeland Ecology from Utah State University and is a California State Board of Forestry Certified Professional in Rangeland Management.
Lynette works as the Carbon Farm Planning Manager for CCI where she focuses on building the capacity of land managers and agricultural conservation planners to conduct carbon farm planning and implementation. In partnership with Fibershed, Lynette is working to assisting in developing an approach and implementable strategy for small farm carbon farm planning and implementation, including support on developing land-owner education. Lynette received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Natural Resources and Environmental Science and her MSc in Soil Science from California State Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo.
