Description: Pronotum matte black, elytra glossy black with dull blue or black margins. 16-18 evenly shaped stria lined with minute punctures on each elytron. Head matte black, smooth, facial furrows absent, low ridges above each eye. Margins of pronotum elevated; begin at apex of pronotal disk, terminate open-ended on either corner of the basal region, median line deep, terminating abruptly just before making contact with the basal margin. Mesotibiae lined with eleven forward-facing spurs, small v-like spur seen further from other spurs, near joint connecting the mesotibia to the mesofemur. Five narrow spurs facing rear of beetle from inner face of the mesotibiae, one large spur at base of mesotibia. Lower region of the mesotibia typically coated with a course layer of orange-brown hairs.
