Connor and Kuoni created this website to aid their fellow beetle enthusiasts in identifying their own specimens, preserved and living specimens alike. They hope this site can easily be utilized by anyone.

Throughout the creation of this site they have each been collecting beetles. While Connor collects and works extensively on the family Carabidae for the most part, Kuoni primarily collects Carabidae and Zopheridae, and Carlos works on Tenebrionidae and other groups from around North America. In order to collect the zopherid and carabid species necessary for the website, both have been collecting in the field, partaking in exchanges, trades, working through donation specimens, and examining university collections, with other enthusiasts, professionals, and institutions alike. Collaborations between themselves and other Coleoptera enthusiasts and general naturalists across the globe provide them, as well as others involved, with amazing opportunities to expand their plane of knowledge and conceptual mindsets. They are very grateful to anyone who has helped us to expand their collections. (see the people page to see who they are).

If you are interested in organizing a specimen trade/exchange, or a donation of supplies and/or specimens with us or would like to report an issue please contact either of us at reptipod@gmail.com or graham.connor.nebriinae@gmail.com or message us through our profiles on iNaturalist.org.
