Description: body: elongate-ovate; head, pronotum, and elytra glossy dark blue, blue and green, or just green Ventral faces semi-glossy black. Head triangular, narrow, face long; head smooth, eyes do not bulge outward, and are rather close to the head. Two setae should be found above each eye. A small ridge begins in front of the eye, travelling towards the base of the scapus. Mandibles curved, dark brownish-orange in colour; palpi brown with pale tips. Scapus and pedicel pale or dark orange, the rest are dark, with the antennal pubescence beginning on the second antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotum ovate, often nearly circular; lateral margins round, front angles obtuse, hind angles obtuse, sharp. Disk smooth, median line faint; dorsal hind angles should both have a single, broadly-triangular depression. Lateral and basal margins beaded, front margin lacks lateral beading. Basal width of the pronotum should be narrower than the width of the elytral base; scutellum exposed, humeral shoulders rounded-obtuse; lateral margins rounded, apices weakly sinuous. 7-8 well-defined striae with flat intervals, and two pre-apical pits on each interval 3. Ventral faces black, often with hints of blue and/or green, legs black.
