Description: body: elongate-ovate, moderately slender, weakly convex. Head smallish, triangular. Dorsal colouration varies from dull gold to dull grey-gold to metallic green. Surface of the head mostly smooth, with two weak dimples on the frons. Clypeus mostly smooth, slightly wrinkles laterally. Two setigerous pores may be seen near either dorsal front angles of the clypeus; front margin curved inward. Labrum square, lateral margins weakly opaque dull yellow. Mandibles short, strongly curved, dark. Palpi dark. Two supraorbital setae over each eye. Eyes bulging laterally. Scapus and pedicel dark reddish, all other segments black; antennal pubescence begins on the second antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotum weakly convex, dorsal view appears dome-like. Front margin curved inward, with a small angle at the median; front angles obtuse, bent forward; lateral margins sloped forward; hind angles squared; base sinuous. Margins thinly beaded. Median line shallow, but typically well-defined; two short, slender dimples may be seen on either side of the lower median. Pronotal base as wide as the humeral shoulder width. Scutellum large: exposed. 8 thin, well-defined striae per elytron, intervals flat, though uneven. Parascutellar pores faint. Humeral shoulders obtuse; laterobasal ridges entire, with a weak tooth on the humeral angle; lateral margins rounded-elongate; apices strongly sinuate. Ventral colouration glossy black, may have a slight greenish hue. Femora black, tibiae black; may be slightly reddish.
