Description: body: elongate-ovate, semi-slender; weakly convex. Head somewhat triangular; face long; dorsal surface of the head is mostly smooth, with two slender dimples on the frons, not continuing onto the clypeus. Clypeus short, uneven; one setigerous pore near either dorsal front angle. Labrum rectangular, front margin sinuate; front margin opaque orange. Mandibles strongly curved, short; dorsally wrinkled. Palpi pale, opaque yellow-orange. Eyes strongly bulging laterally; two supraorbital setae over each eye. Head entirely glossy dark red. Antennae pale yellow-orange; antennal pubescence begins on the on the second antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotum short, transversely stretched, ovoid. Front angles obtuse; lateral margins round, opaque yellow-orange; hind angles obtuse; base weakly sinuous. Disk dark, glossy reddish, nearly black. Median line mostly vanished; dorsum of the pronotum weakly wrinkled at the front. Disk mostly smooth; dorsal base of the pronotum should be punctate. Pronotal base about as wide as the shoulder width. Pronotal margins fully beaded. Scutellum large: exposed. Laterobasal ridges entire: exposed. 8 well-defined, thinly pitted striae per elytron, intervals flat. Elytra dark reddish-brown, may appear blackish. Humeral shoulders obtuse, with a weak lip on the shoulder's angle; apices sinuate. Elytra moderately convex. Ventral colouration glossy reddish-black, piceous. Legs dark orange.
