Information: attracted to porch/street lights, UV, and MV light traps.
Description: body: elongate-oblong, flattened. Body fully reddish-orange, ventral colouration may also be pale orange, glossy. Head somewhat triangular; base of the head weakly constricted into a neck; eyes large, bulging laterally; two setae over each eye; surface of the head with scattered, shallow wrinkles; labrum obscures most of the mandibles-mandibles strongly curved: flatish. Lower mouth parts orange, tips pale. Antennae pale, scapus with one long seta; antennal pubescence begins on the second antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotum short, weakly stretched transversely, squarish; front margin flat; front angles rounded; lateral margins round; hind angles obtuse; basal margin sinuous. Lateral dorsal margins flattened, inner region of the pronotal disk convex; median line strong, with wrinkles stretching out like ribs. Elytra oblong, 7-8 well-defined striae per elytron, intervals weakly raised. Parascutellar pores present. Humeral shoulders nearly squared, rounded; lateral margins weakly flattened, somewhat wavy; apices truncate, rounded. Legs orange, glossy.
